Owner, Urica Martin, answers questions about her Winmark journey.

How did you come to own a Winmark franchise?

My father introduced me to Plato's Closet, but through research I discovered Winmark's other brands. That's when I first learned about Once Upon A Child.

What is one thing you know now that you wish you had known when you first opened your store?

I wish I had known that three years in I would still be spending so much of my time in the store.

2020 was, without a doubt, a challenging year. What was one way you evolved your business that you will keep utilizing in 2021?

The challenges we faced 2020-2021 made me realize I needed to let some things go; for example, the best thing I did was partner with J Miller on my advertising needs.
